27th & 28th September 2008
Pen-yr-Heol Leisure Centre, Gorseinon, Swansea, SA4 4FG
The provision of this course is to assist clubs in meeting their league requirement,
in addition to improve standards and to enable access to obtaining a
BIPHA Referee License (Certificate)
Anyone who has not attended such a course since 2005 MUST update their
Referee Licence to continue to participate in the regional referee pool.
The cost of this course is £40 per affiliated Welsh club,
for a minimum of one and up to five candidates,
or for clubs playing only senior games, a minimum of one and up to three candidates.
Any vacant places will be offered to BIPHA affiliated clubs from outside Wales
at a charge of £25 per candidate.
Prerequisites:
| ► |
To be aged 16 and older at the date of the course. |
| ► |
The completion of a written test paper
prior to attending the practical course. |
| ► |
Referees intending to referee games involving U16s and younger, must hold a CRB
disclosure certificate, or provide evidence that a disclosure application has
recently been submitted. |
Allan Gall the BIPHA National Technical Director will be delivering the course.
As it is a league requirement that all clubs are self-sufficient in providing both
licensed referees and timekeepers, it is essential that all clubs provide sufficient
candidates to fulfil their requirements. As in previous seasons, each club in the
region will bare an equal share of the cost of the course, it is therefore in your
clubs interest to fill as many of the training slots as possible.
Any referees holding a BIPHA Referee Licence dated earlier than August 2006 or
holding a referee licence issued by any other association will be required to
successfully complete this course.
Can all BIPHA affiliated clubs in Wales please use the email link below, prior to the
13 September, listing names and email (or land mail) addresses of the candidates that
will be attending this referees course, so that candidates may be sent the written
test paper that is to be returned to the BIPHA National Technical Director prior to
the commencement of the practical course.
Can any individual candidates from outside the Welsh region looking to join this
referee course, please use the email link below to register your interest. The
organisers will contact you as soon as it is known if there are any vacant places.
