What is a Level 1 Coach Education Course?
A level 1 coach education course is suitable for learners, new to coaching and delivers
those skills required
by the learner to assist a more qualified coach in the delivery of Roller Skating and
Skateboard skills.

What is a Level 2 Coach Education Course?
A level 2 coach education course provides coaches with the skills required to deliver
the BRSF basic skills courses "Skate Smart" and "Board Smart" to roller skaters and
skateboarders.
The BRSF Level 2 course is mapped to UKCC Qualification Guidance
What is Skate Smart?
Skate Smart is a programme teaching basic roller skating skills, both quad and inline
skates to any age, in a community sport environment.

What is a level 3 Coach Education Course?
A level 3 coach education course is a roller discipline specific coach education course,
delivered by experienced tutors from within the various roller disciplines and higher
education professionals,
to equip club coaches with the unique skills required to deliver discipline specific coaching,
to learners of those disciplines.
The BRSF Level 3 courses are mapped to UKCC Qualification Guidance.

Course Accreditation
The British Roller Sports Federation awards are not yet endorsed by
1st4Sport.
However all BRSF programmes are closely mapped to the UKCC Qualification Guidance
and when the courses are 'Endorsed' the BRSF Award will qualify for 'Accreditation of prior learning'.
All tutors and assessors are fully qualified to standards that would be expected by any accredited
learning programme and similar quality assurance protocols are in place.
