2006 European Cup
(Artistic & Dance Roller skating)

1st ~ 5th November 2006 ~ Issy les Moulineaux, Paris

A party of British Artistic and Dance roller skaters are currently in Paris
representing Great Britain at the 2006 Cup of Europe.

This event is being hosted by the French Association of Roller Skating
on behalf of the European Confederation of Roller Sports.

Great Britain has the second largest team in the Cup of Europe to be held in Issy Les Moulineaux, Paris, from 2nd to 4th November in the Palais des Sports. The largest team of course is France, but Great Britain have a larger team than either Italy, Germany or Spain, and we are likely to bring back a few medals from this event. In the past our skaters have been very successful and have consistently won gold, silver and bronze medals.

Countries taking part are Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland.

The top five skaters from each competition held at the British Championships were invited to an assessment day at Watford and then three skaters from each class were selected to represent the UK at the Cup of Europe. This year we have skaters in eleven different categories ranging from the under 9's to the over 18's and it is the first time we have had skaters in the men’s inline event.
