Coach Education

The BRSF is committed to developing a well structured and comprehensive Continuing Professional Development programme for its members. BRSF is also committed to ensuring access to Roller Sports is open, fair and equitable and accepts application to its course from any of the greater population who has an interest in Roller Sports, irrespective of their discipline or ability.

 

Course includes

  • BRSF Level 1 generic coaching programme
  • BRSF Level 2 generic coaching programme
  • Full access to EduCare for Sport online learning service (39 hour online programme): This programme ensures that community clubs and their facilities are safe for all, and that club members are always up-to-date with key duty of care issues. Comprising of 11 safeguarding and duty of care programmes, it is an easy-to-use way of instilling knowledge and confidence to help you, as a coach, build a stronger and safer community club. Each programme is designed to impart essential information and motivate you to take action if you suspect something is wrong – whatever your role or responsibility.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Members who can provide a VALID DBS certificate number (not the old CRB number) which has been registered with the DBS Update Service are not required to repeat this process) 
  • Full copy of the BRSF ‘Learn to Skate’ programme

Educare Programme

The British Roller Spots Federation is offering access to the EduCare for Sport Online Learning Programme which comprises of 11 safeguarding and duty of care programmes to instil knowledge and confidence in our members so you can help us build a stronger and safer community club.


Each programme is designed to impart essential information and motivate people to take action if they suspect something is wrong – whatever their role or responsibility.


EduCare for Sport is an online learning service providing essential duty of care and safeguarding information to help keep your club safe, secure and legally compliant.

 

The British Roller Spots Federation EduCare for Sport Online Learning Programme comprises of 11 safeguarding and duty of care programmes, this is easy-to-use tool, to instil knowledge and confidence in our members so you can help us build a stronger and safer community club. Each programme is designed to impart essential information and motivate people to take action if they suspect something is wrong – whatever their role or responsibility. Users of any EduCare online learning system should be aware that our system is designed to work with a wide range of computers but there are a few requirements such as an operating system of Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7 along with Internet Explorer 6 or later.

 

THE COURSE CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMES:
Equality & Diversity 2016, An Introduction to Safety in Clubs, Food Hygiene & Safety, Child Exploitation & Online Safety, Child Protection in Sport & Active Leisure, Child Protection – Refresher, First Aid Essentials, Personal Safety, Preventing Bullying, Safer Recruitment and Safeguarding Adults.

 

Course Costs
Individual - £10 / Clubs with up to 10 Users - £50 per club
